Announcement of the SGNHC Grant 2022
It is our pleasure to announce that the SGNHC Research fund for the year 2022 is open for submission. Only the online submission will be processed for the fund consideration. The online submission can be done using the START YOUR APPLICATION under the heading “RESEARCH PROPOSAL “on the homepage of the website https://research.sgnhc.org.np/
Please select “yes” to “6. Applying for SGNHC Grant” in Section A of proposal submission form if you are applying for this grant award.
Three grants will be awarded, one lakh each (including tax). Half of the grant will be awarded in the starting phase of the research and half will be awarded once the research is over and the report is submitted to the SGNHC Research Unit and SGNHC IRC.

The deadline for proposal submission for SGNHC Grant is 31st December 2022 (16th Poush 2079).
Eligibility Criteria:
- Only the staffs working in SGNHC are eligible for the SGNHC grant.
- Same researcher cannot apply for more than one proposal as principal investigator.
- Only the online application will be entertained in the Grant selection.
- Previous recipient of the SGNHC Grant is not allowed for submission for at least 3 years from the year of winning the award.
- Awardees of previous grants who have not yet submitted the research completion report to SGNHC Research Unit/SGNHC IRC will not be eligible for application.
- Proposals that needs approval from NHRC will not be eligible for SGNHC grant.
The research proposal will be graded according to the following:
The grading is based upon following 4 categories:
- Type of study: (Maximum 20 points)
Prospective (20 points)
Retrospective (10 points)
- Descriptive or Analytical: (Maximum 15 points)
Analytical (15 points)
Descriptive (10 points)
- Clinical significance: (Maximum 15 points)
